On April 30, 2024, the relocation and renovation of the Shenmu Anping coalbed methane pipeline with double double plugging, implemented by Xinyu Feihu Pipeline Technical Equipment Co., Ltd., was successfully completed with “zero” leakage throughout the entire process.
The Shen’an Coalbed Methane Pipeline under Zhonglian Huarui Natural Gas Co., Ltd. starts from Shenmu City, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province and ends at Anping County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province, with a total length of about 623 kilometers and a designed annual gas transmission capacity of 5 billion cubic meters. Due to the reconstruction of the Xinfu section of National Highway 108, it is necessary to relocate the Shangshe Village section of the Shen’an Pipeline in Xinfu District, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. Approximately 0.755 kilometers of new pipelines and 0.42 kilometers of abandoned pipelines will be constructed, with a diameter of 813 millimeters and a design pressure of 80bar. During the pipeline plugging construction period, the operating pressure will be 47bar. The work involves the construction of double-sided double plugging for non-stop transmission, with a total of four bypass holes, four plugging holes, four gas balloon holes, four 2-inch balance holes, and the installation of bypass pipelines. This project faces many problems such as high combination parameters for hot tapping and plugging, and difficulty in construction.
Xinyu Feihu started the bypass pipeline and suspended stopple fitting welding operation on April 13th, made hot taps on April 21st,performed line stopping on April 23rd and 24th, completed the upstream and downstream plugging operations on April 24th and 25th. By April 30th, the removing of the stoppling device, lowering of the completion plug, and installation of blind flange were completed.After the hot tapping was completed, the construction personnel used a sweeping device to remove the cutting iron filings inside the pipeline, and used the company’s self-developed and patented high-pressure suspended plugging head to ensure the tightness of the plugging.The duration of “zero” leakage plugging this time was long, and the hot work connection construction was carried out by connecting the upstream and downstream one by one. The final plugging operation took 128 hours to complete, ensuring that the pipeline plugging reached “zero” leakage at once.It is reported that Xinyu Feihu was founded in 2002.
